About the Author

Susan Dehn Matthews holds a Master of Arts degree in Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry from Mundelein College of Loyola University, Chicago, as well as a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Dominican University, River Forest.

Her areas of professional interest include women’s spirituality, Creation-centered spirituality, and Scriptural interpretation and reflection.

Trained in spiritual companioning and spiritual direction at The Well Spirituality Center in LaGrange Park, IL, Susan is also a certified pastoral associate who facilitates a variety of opportunities for Scripture reflection, adult spiritual formation and retreat facilitation.

Susan is an adjunct instructor in both the Theology Department and the Liberal Arts and Sciences Seminar Program at Dominican University in River Forest, IL. In recent years, she served as a visiting faculty member for the Hesburgh Sabbatical Program at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, and presented a variety of workshops and evenings of reflection for parishes and schools in the Chicago/Joliet area.
